CANDLEY Return & Refund Policy

At CANDLEY, we stand behind the quality of every candle we create. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help. Please review our return guidelines below.


1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return for unused and unburned candles within 30 days of delivery.

  • Candle is unused (wick intact, no burn marks)
  • Candle and planter are in original packaging
  • Product is in resalable condition

Used, burned, or melted candles cannot be returned.


2. Damaged or Defective Orders

If your order arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • Email support@candley.com within 7 days
  • Include your order number and photos of the issue

We will provide:

  • A free replacement, or
  • A full refund

Return shipping is not required in most cases. CANDLEY covers all shipping costs for verified damage/defect claims.


3. Free Replacement Seed Pods

Because our candles grow real plants, seeds can sometimes be misplaced or fail to sprout.

We offer free replacement seed pods anytime — no return required.

To request replacement seeds:

  1. Email support@candley.com
  2. Include your order number and candle variety
  3. We will ship the replacement seed pod free of charge

4. Change-of-Mind Returns

If you simply changed your mind:

  • Candle must be unused and in original packaging
  • Customer pays return shipping
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable

A refund will be issued once the return is received and inspected.


5. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for different scents or items of equal value.

How it works:

  1. Email support@candley.com with your order number and exchange request
  2. After approval, return the unused item
  3. We ship your replacement once the return arrives

If the new item has a higher value, you may pay the difference.


6. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Used or burned candles
  • Custom or personalized candles
  • Clearance / final-sale items
  • Gift cards

Replacement seed pods are always free and do not require a return.


7. Return Shipping Instructions

After we approve your return, you will receive:

  • The return mailing address (Denver, CO)
  • A Return Authorization Number (RA#)
  • Packing guidelines

Returned items must be shipped in padded, secure packaging using a trackable service. CANDLEY is not responsible for return items lost or damaged in transit.


8. Refund Timeline

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • You will receive a confirmation email once complete

9. Late or Missing Refunds

If your refund hasn’t appeared after 10 business days:

  1. Check with your bank or card provider
  2. Email us at support@candley.com for assistance

10. International Orders

International returns are accepted. Please note:

  • Customer covers all international return shipping costs
  • Refund is issued after inspection
  • Duties, VAT, import fees, and taxes are non-refundable

Replacement seed pods ship free worldwide.
